YOUR MISSION

We have an exciting opportunity for a Valuation Intern to join our Alternative Investment Fund Management subsidiary in Luxembourg (Prime AIFM Lux SA) from September 2026. As a Valuation Intern, you will be assisting in the investment administration and day-to-day management of alternative investment portfolios to which Prime Capital acts as AIFM, Investment Manager/Advisor, or Platform Operator with a strong focus on the firm’s valuation framework and the validation of asset pricing. The successful candidate will form part of a small and dynamically growing team in Luxembourg and Frankfurt, reporting to Senior Staff members of the Valuation Team. 

YOUR MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Actively participate in the completion of various valuation engagements and client deliverables in form of performing market and company research, analysis and written reports.
  • Work collaboratively with senior members of the team to maintain and develop current and next-generation valuation models of several asset classes;
  • Assist the administration and day-to-day management of portfolios serviced by the Prime Capital Group; 
  • Ongoing maintenance of processes relating to alternative investment portfolios;
  • Validation of external and internal asset pricing of both, liquid and illiquid equity and debt investments, on an ongoing basis;
  • Reconciliation of fund accounts funds  and validation of NAV reports as computed by external administrators respectively;
  • Support the management company’s valuation committee; 
  • Classification of alternative investment fund portfolios pursuant to the IFRS 13 fair value hierarchy;
  • Gain industry exposure and knowledge about fundamental analysis applicable to various asset classes (e.g. private debt, infrastructure, real estate, etc.)
  • Develop business, financial and analytical expertise necessary for a career in valuation;
  • Collaborate with senior members of the team on professional development of both technical and soft skills.

YOUR PROFILE

  • On track to complete a bachelor’s or masters’ degree in accounting/finance/economics;
  • Ideally previous internship experience in audit, private equity and/or corporate finance;
  • Demonstrated interest in Finance, Economics and Capital Markets;
  • Strong analytical/quantitative and technical abilities with solid understanding of Corporate Finance and financial theory;
  • Advanced MS Excel and Word skills preferred;
  • Self-starter with an independent work attitude as well as exceptional organisation and coordination skills;
  • Commercial judgement with attention to detail, ability to manage multiple and shifting priorities, with a strong focus on results and outcomes;
  • Keen perception, excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • High attention to detail;
  • English language proficiency to the level of business negotiations, German is considered a valuable asset.
